THAI YOGA MASSAGE THERAPY
Thai Yoga is a 2500 year old Ayurvedic based body science developed by Buddha’s physician, Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha. This massage uses the bodies life force energy which flows in difference channels within ones body. These channels are referred to as Sen lines, Prana in yoga (SanskirtI, Chi in chinese, and Ki in Japanese). It is said when these points are blocked, energy is held in which is translated as pain or tension. Thai Yoga massage helps relieve these points or sens by releasing the blockages and guide clients to a deep meditative state.
Thai Yoga massage can heal beyond physical muscle discomfort, it can assist in relieving stress, rejuvenate, improving range of motion and flexibility.
The Thai Yoga massage is performed on a mat placed on the floor. Because the client is fully clothed in sports wear, it allows the therapist to assist the client into a deeper, more focused stretch and various yoga postures. If you have any health issues, current or previous injuries, or movement restriction, be sure to notify the therapist. Thai Yoga massage will not be performed on pregnant women.
